On the morning of Jan. 11th, Mr. Ferid Murad visited our university. He is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, a foreign member of ChineseAcademy of Sciences and a Nobel laureate in Physiology. Xu Ningsheng, President of SYSU and Vice President Xu Anlong met with the guest.President Xu introduced to Mr. Murad about the status quo of international cooperation and academy research in our university, especially about the recent progress of research in Life Science and medical discipline. Academician Ferid Murad also imparted information about his recent research, and expressed his willingness to continue the cooperation with our university in Life Science research.

Leaders from Human Resources Department, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and Schoolof Life Science attended this meeting.
