During April 27 to 30, with the invitation of Samuel Chao Chung Ting, President Xu Ningsheng led an SYSU delegation flied to Florida, U.S.A. They met Professor Samuel Chao Chung Ting and participated in the relevant activities of launching AMS02.

April 27, President Xu Ningsheng and the delegation arrived in Orlando at noon. Taking time out of his busy schedule, Professor Samuel Chao Chung Ting received Xu Ningsheng and the delegation warmly.

On the afternoon of April 27, President Xu Ningsheng had a conversation with Roberto Battiston, Director of Italian Cosmic Particle Physics Center, Professor of University of Perugia, and Deputy Spokesperson of AMS02 Project. They had a further discussion on the cooperation between the two universities on Space Physics and detection application. The atmosphere was friendly and harmonious. The two sides have reached an agreement of enhancing the cooperation.

On April 28, MIT held a grand cocktail party at night. Nearly 200 scientists from different countries who participated in AMS02 Project were present at the party. They proposed a toast to the success of the launch on April 29. President Xu Ningsheng and SYSU delegation were invited to the party too.
