Source: Base for International Chinese Teaching Materials Development and Teacher Training

On March 28, the opening ceremony of Base for International Chinese Teaching Materials Development and Teacher Training was held in Xian Weijian Hall, SYSU. Xu Lin, counselor of the State Council, director of the Office of Chinese Language Council and General Secretary of Confucius Institute Head Office and Huang Daren, senior consultant of Confucius Institute and president of the Base council, attended the unveiling ceremony. The group was met by SYSU party secretary Zheng Detao and the ceremony was hosted by the vice-president Chen Chunsheng.


With the permission of the Office of Chinese Language Council, the Base for International Chinese Teaching Materials Development and Teacher Training was established in May, 2009. It is one of the ninety International Promotion Bases for Chinese Language and under the co-management of Sun Yat-sen University and the Office of Chinese Language Council. At present, the Base established a global Chinese teaching materials information display center on the third floor of Xian Weijian Hall, which now was open to the public.
