The once a year fencing championship was hold from 1. to 2. May in the gymnasium on Zhuhai campus. More than twenty teams, over 500 players have taken part in the competition. These delegations are from all parts of China, for example, Dalian, Shanghai, Wenzhou, Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Hongkong. the players are divided into three groups: Child group, Teenager group and Youth group.

The individual competition was taken place on the first day. Because the individual competition included too many events, the judges had a real busy day. The individual events lasted to 9 o’clock in the evening. Lin Zhimin from the delegation of SYSU University won the champion of Men's Fencing Individual Foil of Youth team.

The Team competition was held on the next day and wrapped up successfully. The delegation of SYSU University also got good marks.
